Edna Audreen Harris Done
Edna Audreen Harris Done passed away at her home on January 6, 2006 at the age of 94.
She was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada on July 5, 1911 to J. Emer Harris and Maudell Woolsey, one of six sisters. The family moved to Boise, Idaho when Edna was 8 and she lived there until she attended Brigham Young University where she met and married Jean Christian Nielsen.
Edna lived in Los Angeles, CA while her husband attended U.S.C. Dental School and was widowed 6 months after Jean received his DDS Degree. She married G. Byron Done and for 20 years Byron was Director of the Institutes of Religion for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Los Angeles area. They moved to Provo, Utah in 1956 where Byron was professor of religion at B.Y.U. until 1973.
She was active in many groups including Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Chamber of Commerce, Sorosis Literary Club and B.Y.U. Women. She was active in her church having served as Ward and Stake Relief Society President, Seminary Teacher, Mutual President and in many other callings. She taught at U.V.S.C., B.Y.U. and was on the Education Week circuit in the Western States and Canada.
Edna is survived by her children Jeanine Gunn (Richard), Harris N. Done (Dahlene), Norma Smith (Richard), 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and her sister, Maureen Relyea.
Funeral services will be held at Oakhills 2nd Ward, 925 E. North Temple Drive, at 12:00 on Saturday, January 14th. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the G. Byron and Edna Done Endowed Fund @ B.Y.U. account #30-120-576, LDS Philanthropies, 1501 N. Canyon Rd., Provo, Utah, 84604.

Dear Done Family Sorry for your loss. I knew Edna through DUP. She was a truly a graceous woman. I will never forget her. She added much to our meetings and to my life.

Dear Done Family, may God bless all of you at this time. Mrs. Done was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. She was always very concerned with others and was very interested in the details of their lives. I will never forget her kind and sweet personality and how good she was to me. Dear Done Family,

We are so sorry for your great loss. Edna was just a dear and darling lady. She was adored by everyone with her warm personality and friendly ways. We will always remember her so fondly.
