Edna Mae Gallant age 94, was born September 29, 1924 in Soper, OK, the daughter of Alvie Kendrix and Rosa Lee (Marsh) Kendrix and had lived most of her life in Soper, OK. She married Homer Gallant on August 31, 1946 in DeQueen, AR. Edna enjoyed fishing and camping and was the town babysitter. She loved going to church, bluegrass music, gardening, canning and loved animals. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
Edna was preceded in death by four brothers, Arley Kendrix, Charley Kendrix, Joe Kendrix and Ray Kendrix.
Survivors include: her husband, Homer Gallant; daughter, Teresa Holley and husband, Buddy of Soper, OK; sons, Gary Gallant and wife, Frances of Soper and Danny Gallant and wife, Teresa of Soper, OK; one brother, Alvis Kendrix and wife, Virginia Dale of Soper, OK; grandchildren, Brittany Karr, Shelby Gallant, Jerry Don Gallant, Anthony Dewayne Gallant and Robert Cole; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Hall, Cadean Bacon, Caleb Bacon, Bo Holly, Bailey Holly, Macy Penix, Holden Holly, Jadean Gallant, Cain Gallant, Brantley Karr, Remington Karr, Bobby Stasney, Jonathan Clark, Selena Clark and Michael Cole; great great grandson, Blade Cole along with many other relatives and friends.

Nanny will be very missed, i love her so much- Im glad I got to know her & spend time with her These past 4 years before she went home. Im gonna miss our long talks & her crazy stories. She always knew how to make me laugh. I know she is a better place now, but she is very much missed by us all. I know she will always Be watching over all of us. ❤
