Edna Mae McClenny Starke went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on January 23, 1950, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Edna made her home in Chesterfield, Virginia, from the late 1970s onward. There, she built a life grounded in faith, devoted to her family, and enriched by deep friendships.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lilly Mae Wallace; her father, W.J. McClenny; her stepfather, Ted Wallace; her sisters, Faye Stevens and Anne Perdue; her brother-in-law, Dwight Stevens; her daughter-in-law, Beverly Starke; and her best friend, Cathy Robinson.
Edna is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Roger Starke; her daughter, Robin Dix; her son, David Starke; and her sisters, Betty (Hillery) Hux and Rhonda Wallace. She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Missy (Josh) Griffin, Megan (Danny) Green, Matt Dix, Morgan Dix, Haley Dix, and David Starke Jr., as well as fourteen beloved great-grandchildren who filled her life with joy.
Edna's unwavering love for her family and her strong faith were the foundation of her life. Her warmth, wisdom, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to celebrate Edna's life will be held on Saturday, May 24th at 1:00 PM at Community Life Church in Powhatan, VA.

Edna was such a wonderful witness for the Lord. She was so caring . I remember when my mom, Edna Mae aunt Ruth, was in the hospital, Edna was such a support to both of us.
I will miss her Christmas cards and calls, she was always so uplifting. I know she is in heaven and rejoicing.

I'm so sorry for the loss of my sweet Cousin Edna. She was a precious Christian woman and I know she is in Heaven singing and shouting with all her loved ones and friends who have gone on before her. My thoughts and prayers go out for all the family.

Edna was a kind and loving person,always telling others about her savior Jesus Christ. She enjoyed life and made many friends and always had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and care on with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
