I'm not sure if any of you will remember me, I have a story about Mr. Aleksiewicz that I still tell to this very day. When I was a kid in Charter Oak Terrace, I was spending the night and having dinner over the Aleksiewicz house. I wasn't even ten years old yet. We all sat down to dinner - Mr. & Mrs. Aleksiewicz, myself, Roseanne, Michael and Wayne - I don't remember the other children and I am not sure if they were even around yet. Prior to dinner, I remember that I mentioned to Roseanne, Michael and Wayne that I did not like corn. They told me that their father does not let anyone leave the table until they have finished all their plate. I was sooooooo scared. I thought, "what am I going to do?" So when dinner was served I took a small taste of the corn and to my surprise I loved it!! Every time I have corn niblets I think of Mr. Aleksiwicz and the Aleksiewicz family. Because of that experience - corn is one of my favorite foods.

On behalf of the Duggan family, I extend our condolences to you all. I will always remember your parents as the beautiful, caring people they were.

When I was a youngster, growing up in Charter Oak Terrace, Mr. Eddie (as we called him) was our neighbor. I use to stand on the corner and sell newspapers. On very cold mornings as I made my way from Charter Oak to the corner of Park St. and New Park Ave., he would give me a ride in the big Kasden truck he use to drive. He was a no nonsense man who loved and cared for his family. Please accept condolences from the Ward family.
