Ed was one of the nicest people in the shul when I started attending AAC in Wichita, KS. He was always so genuine, friendly, and had a good laugh. One year, I delivered him a Purim basket at his apartment in Derby, KS, and he was so thrilled to get it! I was so happy to see him show up at shul one day not too long ago! We had some good conversations over time, and I missed him a lot when he moved to KC. I'll miss him even more now. Ed, you were a true blessing to me and your memory will always be a true blessing.

The last time we met up with Ed was in October of 2024 in Kansas. He still drove and got around with some difficulty. At a museum we visited we had to use a wheeling chair to get him around. It was still fun. We watched the Yankees win on TV and ate the famous Kansas City Ribs, just like butter. I have known Ed for 50 years and have been around him through many of his significant life events. He was trained as a doctor for two years and knew his way around the medical world getting the best care he could under the circumstances. He had bad breaks but always made the best of it and remade himself successfully several times. He was a handsome man and projected a nice guy image, "Nice Guy Eddie". I know he could get angry much as any human, and he had things to be angry about. You could talk to him about almost any topic and that's what I'll miss most. Hard to come by these days when there is so much polarization.
