Edward Charles Burns of Stockton Springs, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend; passed away on January 2, 2024. Ed was born in New Jersey on September 22, 1942 the son of Edward and Anna (Grim) Burns.

Here in Maine, there will be a time for visitation and remembrance for Ed on Saturday January 13th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Riposta Funeral Home,182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast, Maine. Following the visitation friends and family are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the family home, 92 Lighthouse Road, Stockton Springs, ME.

For all those from away who are unable to be with us in Maine at this time there will be an opportunity to celebrate Ed's life in New Jersey in the coming spring.

Donations may be made in Ed's memory to The Maine Homeless Veterans Alliance https://mainehomelessveteransalliance.org/

Ed was a friend. Just a wonderful person to know. We spent many warm, fun times with him and Pat. We also thank him for his proud service to our country.

Ed was a quiet and humble man. It was only through others that I learned what an accomplished and well respected man he was, and a mentor to so many. I am glad to have had an opportunity to know him and I will miss him.
