So sad to hear of Ed's passing. I worked at Baystate for 30 years and many days I came into work, he was the first smile to brighten my day or when leaving for home, the last smile that said, have a great evening. I observed that he always maintained a warm, caring and professional demeanor with patients and visitors. He truly was the face of Baystate. While I'm no longer at Baystate, he is one of those people I was privileged to call s friend and who will be sorely missed
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. May he rest in peace and let perpetual light shine upon him.
He'll be THE BEST greeter Heaven will gain!

I am saddened to see Mr. Calabrese has passed - I recognized his picture immediately on MassLive knowing him only as the happy, friendly greeter in the lobby on many tough visits to Baystate Medical throughout the years. He always made the visits easier to handle with his unforgettable smile and charm. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. He will truly be one of Heaven's Best Greeters!
Sincerely, Jeannie Fallon Pescitelli and Family
