My thoughts and prayers to Ted's family and friends, I can not express the profound sadness I feel with the loss of such a nice guy. I will be forever grateful for the hard work and support he gave to me and our organization in a time when very few would have done so. Ted Cawley was an outstanding and decent human being, who saw the good in people and the potential in others. Thank you for all you did for the New England Police Benevolent Association, Inc. and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loving family - GOD BLESS, TED!

Dear Karen and Family,
I was shocked to hear of Teds passing, in recent conversations with you I did not even realize he was sick. Although I only worked with Ted for a short period of time I found him to be very sociable and a fun person to work with.
I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow.

With sincere sympathy,

What do you say when the brother of your best friend leaves us? My heart and love goes out to the entire Cawley family, who are all MY family too. I will never forget what a great guy Teddy was. I will never forget playing touch football with him when I was home from college, cheering him on in the family swim relays at Vesper (which your family always won), and sharing laughs and cigars galore while at the Cape. His easy light up a room smile and big bear hugs will be missed.
We go to the grave of a friend saying, "A man is dead," but angels throng about him saying, "A man is born." Have faith, those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity.
Love Always,
Sheryl

Karen,

I am so sorry for your loss. Ted was the first manager I ever had in the banking world. When he interviewed me for a teller position he said, tellers are the unsung heroes of the bank. Even today, I use that statement when interviewing tellers. I even say that it was said to me on my very first interview.
Thinking of you and your family.

Karen,
I am so sorry to hear about Ted. He was my first branch manager at Central Savings Bank in Tewksbury. To this day, I mention him in interviews that I have with tellers. I tell them about my first manager who, during my interview for a teller position, said that the tellers are the unsung heroes of the bank. I will never forget him.

Growing up with so many cousins, it was impossible to have a favorite. But Ted was certainly the one I looked up to the most. I envied his athleticism, and (usually) welcomed his challenges to keep up with him. It was a quixotic goal. Whether on the sandlot, backyard football field, and most of all in the pool, Ted came out on top. Man, that kid could swim. There was no catching up to him. He even started shaving before I did!

Karen, Dan, Ryan, and Jen, we are heartbroken and share your sorrow. There'll never be another like him.
