Dear Debbie and siblings and extended Doyle family,
I was saddened to learn of the deaths of your father and mother this year.
As like others on this guestbook, I knew and worked with Ed for about 30 years at Thermo Electron.
I'm so sorry you had to lose them both in the same year.
May he have eternal rest, peace and joy alongside your beloved mother.
With Sympathy,
Janet L. Livesey, Hudson, MA, July 3, 2021

Dear Jamie,
There are no words that could adequately express how sorry we were to hear of your father's death. I always enjoyed hearing you speak about your father. You were a blessing to each other and a comfort to him, particularly in these recent years. May he have eternal rest, eternal peace and joy alongside your beloved mother.

Dear Debbie
Your father was an advisor, friend, jovial, wise, knowledgeable, and happy to share his knowledge with me. Even though I only knew him for a comparatively short period of 30+ years, I never heard him utter an unkind word for another. I will dearly miss his great company, wisdom and humour, especially over our lunches when we discussed the ever increasing amount of potatoes in the served clam-chowder!
I wish you strength and courage during this most difficult period.
My love to you,
Fondly,
Deepak

Dear Debbie, Jennifer and Jamie,
We are so sorry to hear of your father's passing.
Please accept our sincere condolences.
I worked for and with Ed for nearly 30 years. He
was another brother to me!
We are sad that our Lord took him at this time
but we can understand that God must have had
a very important engineering job that required
his expertise.

Dear Deb, Jennifer and Jamie
We are very sorry to hear of passing of your Dad. I was hired by him at Thermo for my first job and we were colleagues for nearly 25 years. He was a brilliant engineer and very supportive boss. I learnt a great deal of business and management from him as his door was always open to help.
May God grant strength to the family to bear this loss and grant peace to the departed soul.
Kind regards
Ravi and Rohini Sakhuja

Today is full of memories of my brother. Edward, being laid to rest and every single
one of them is filled with happiness.
You were someone special always such a joy to know and there
was so much pain when it was time to let you go.
You were my brother and best friend. I will always love you and we will one day meet again.
That's why this special message is sent to heaven above for the angels to
take care of you and give you all my love.
Love you forever,
Mary Ellen

Dear Deb, Jennifer, Jamie and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. I worked with Ed for over 20 years at Thermo, and besides work we often talked about his track history.
I want to express my condolences to your family in this very sad time.
Regards,
Fred Becker

To Debbi, Jennifer, Jamie and extended family: Your father's passing is very sad to me as I know it is for all the engineers who worked closely with him at Thermo Electron Corp. For me he was the "model" for what an engineer and engineering manager should be. His engineering talents seemed to be ubiquitous but more importantly, he exhibited these talents to this young engineer at the time with patience, good humor, and providing an example of the discipline that is needed to make the project succeed. All of this without ever failing to keep his family a priority. I will miss our pleasant chats during the company luncheons and the "Best Wishes" calls we made at Christmas and New Years and in the end: "His master said to him: "Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come share your Master's joy". Mathew 25:23

Ed, was a wonderful kind man that taught me more than a few engineering principles. I miss his council when things go wrong here (as they still do as much as ever). Such sad news.
