Edward Dunbar Obituary

A retired employee of LeBlanc's Payless Supermarket and Cars Inc. of Gonzales, he died at 3:30 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at his home in Gonzales. He was 76, a native of New Orleans and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Visitation at Hambrick's Family Mortuary, Gonzales, on Friday, May 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Religious service at Christian Assembly Full Gospel Church, La. 941, Gonzales, on Saturday, May 24, at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Richard Rayborn Sr., pastor. Interment in the church cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Mary S. Dunbar, Gonzales; four daughters, seven sons, a sister, 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and son. He was a deacon and member of Men's Fellowship at Christian Assembly Full Gospel Church.

May the Lord continue to bless and keep you. Lean and depend on him, because he IS able to see you through. Be comforted knowing that there is no more suffering for Edward.

I want to personally thank everyone for your warm wishes and prayers through the homegoing celebration of my father . And special thanks to those who helped my father in his time of illness. He appreciated every thing and alway said how the Lord continued to bless him through the friendship of other.
