Aunt Lorraine and kids, we are so sorry to hear of Uncle Ed's passing. It was so good to see you both at the picnic this last summer. He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Lori and family, We have many wonderful memories of Eddy, my parents backyard neighbor, for many years. Although it has been many years since I lived in Horicon, he would always come over when I was visiting my parents, say hello, ask for an update on my family, and give me a big hug! I'm not sure I've ever met a more genuinely friendly man, and he made an impression on my husband too. We were all blessed to know him. I will always be grateful to Eddy for the care he gave my parents as they got older, blowing snow, cutting lawn, checking on them, and sharing a meal. He was truly a one of a kind soul with a strong faith. Our sincere sympathy.

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know Ed "walked with God" while here on earth, now he can be with God. Heaven gained a gentle soul

Dear Miescke family, Dave and I were saddened to hear that Ed has passed away. I forged a friendship with him when we would ring The Salvation Army bell. When we would have the "changing of the guard" by the red kettle, he would always stick around to talk and ask how our family was doing, and to make sure I was warm enough or if he could buy me a hot coffee for my bell ringing shift. Dave had become friends with Ed while working at John Deere. We often ran into Ed on the trails of Horicon Marsh and we were always in awe of his genuine, caring nature and his infectious smile. The heavens have welcomed a true gentleman angel.
