To the Gore Family
I just learned of the passing of Edward and was so sorry to hear of your loss. Please except my deepest sympathy, Edward and I worked together at the old Ohio Pen, we had some great time together, and although we loss touched I've never forgot and often wondered where he was, and what he was doing in life. It saddens me that I did not get to see him again in life, and I learned of his passing to late to say good bye. I wish the family strengh in these hard times.
Once again my condolences.

TO THE GORE FAMILY, I JUST HEARD ABOUT THE PASSING OF EDWARD ON 2/28/2008,FROM MY BEST FRIEND DARREL PEAKES. WE ALL WORKED FOR THE DEPT OF CORRECTIONS AT THE OLD OHIO PEN. GORE WAS A VERY DEAR FRIEND OF MINE. I JUST SAW HIM AT THE FUNERAL OF ANOTHER FRIEND, AND WE WERE PLANNING TO GO FISHING FOR WHITE BASS NEXT MONTH. GORE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON THAT WAS GOD FEARING ,AND HELPED THOSE IN NEED. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO SAY OTHER THAN HE WILL BE MISSED AND THAT HE KNEW THE LORD. ED, I PRAY TO GOD THAT I WILL MEET YOU AGAIN OVER THE RIVER WITH THE REST OF MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST.

Gore and I worked together at the Old Ohio Penetentiary or as it was last known the Columbus Correctional Facility. He was a Good Man and a Good Corrections Officer, I was glad to have crossed his path in my life. I did not learn of his passing to be with the Lord until today, 2/28/08 when I saw a fellow former corrections officer at the Columbus VA Outpatient Clinic where I am a Veterans Service Officer for Franklin County. I will always remember his SMILE! God Be With You & Yours, You have My Deepest Sympathies!

To the family of Ed, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I had the opportunity to work with Ed for a number of years with the City of Columbus, especially in his role as a union steward. Ed was passionate about his responsibilities and he was always kind and respectful as he went about his business, even as we argued about issues. I always looked upon Ed as one of the more unique and colorful individuals that I have had the opportunity to work with over the years. Ed will be missed. Ed will be remembered.

At times like these, the words that would properly express the sorrow I feel for the family of such a well liked and amazing individual cannot be found. So please accept my humble expression of condolensce.
Ed was an extreme pleasure to be around. He loved to laugh and he joyfully spread that laugher to anyone who would listen. He had the ability to brighten ones day with a well timed comment or a laugh. Ed stood out in any room he entered. He'd most definately make his prescsence known to all. I am truely honored to have met and worked with Ed over the past few years.
May you keep such fond memories alive and remember the good times that were shared. My heart goes out to you and may God bless you during this most difficult time.
