Edward HAY Obituary
July 28, 1929 – March 28, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad and papa Edward on Thursday, March 28.
Edward was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Betty Lou. He is survived by his daughters, Joanne (Gary) and Judy (Greg) and grandchildren, Donna, Nathaniel and Caitlyn.
Ed was a lifetime member of the Edmonton Host Lions Club. He also volunteered with the CPRN radio club as well as the Telus World of Science and will be fondly missed by all that knew him. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thoughtfulness to all the staff at Rivercrest Care Centre in Fort Saskatchewan where Ed resided for the past two and a half years.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton with interment to follow at Westlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of tributes donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 10117 Jasper Avenue N.W., Edmonton, AB, T5J 1W8 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 – 124 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5M 0H9.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Ed. (VE6EGH) Ed and I were both radio operators at the telus World of Science amateur radio station. I have fond memories of Ed, a very friendly person and always ready to volunteer his services. My sincere condolences to the family.
