Tommy Gunter Obituary
EDEN Msgt.-Ret. AF Tommy F. Gunter, Jr., 83, of Eden, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. A home-going celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church, Pelham. Family visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. Roy Dennis, Pastor will be presiding. He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Dorothy Katrina (Jose) Parris of Stoneville; one son, Timothy A. Gunter of Eden; six grandchildren: Msgt. Damion L. (Tina) Parris of Korea and McConnell AFB, Wichita, KS, Justin A. Parris of Eden, Brittanie Perkins of Greensboro, Timothy A. Gunter, II of Sacramento, CA, Tyler Gunter, Jada Gunter of Greensboro; five great-grandchildren: Asiah O. Parris of Emporia, KS, Damion L. (Rhiannon) Parris, II of Haysville, KS, Jaiden Woods and Jaice Hairston of Greensboro, and Avah Parris of McConnell, AFB, KS. Siblings include Marguerite Nunnally of Pelham and Dorothy Mae Sams, Tampa, FL, Ruth Gwynn, Suitland, MD, Lottie Williamson of Pelham, Minnie Stokes of Washington, DC, Mary (Walter) Weathers, Reverend George (Joyce) Gunter and Voyd Henry (Rosie) Gunter. One brother preceded him in death, John Gunter; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Perry and Spencer Funeral Home, Eden is assisting the family.
