It took me awhile to write this.... I cut Ed´s hair for over 20 years. He was a blast. Funny, smart, charismatic... he loved his wife, she was his best friend. He loved his son and his wife´s children and grandchildren. He was always busy getting his hands dirty either with his cars or things around the house. We loved and laughed exchanging stories about our lives. I had cut his hair just a week before he passed. I hadn´t seen him in a while and tried contacting him to no avail. So I googled him and found out the sad news. It´s always shocking news and I´ll truly miss our friendship. He was a good egg.

A year without Fast Eddie in my life. A year of daily disbelief he is gone. A year of daily sadness he is not there to speak and have fun with. A year of missing our deep friendship. He will be missed by me forever.

I had the pleasure of calling Ed Johnson my closest friend for nearly two decades. He and his beautiful Maureen were frequent traveling and social companions to me and my wife. We spent countless meals, concerts, Euchre card games, and general gallivanting with Ed & Mo. He was brilliant, gregarious, wise and genuinely concerned for the people close to him. My blessing was being included among them. RIP my BFF.
