Edward Floyd Kaiser, 77, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at his home in Gore, Oklahoma. He was born on March 22, 1931 to Jake and Vera (Herriman) Kaiser in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Ed was the oldest of four children and grew up in the community of McLain south of Muskogee. Ed spent many of his teenage years in California before moving back to Muskogee. In 1951, Ed joined the U.S. Army serving two years and then joining the Air Force. While he was in the Air Force he served as a Flight Engineer Technician. During his service with the Air Force, he was the Engineer of a C-141 Starlifter that brought troops home from Vietnam. After 20 years with the Air Force, Ed retired in May of 1971. He began his career with OG and E in 1974 and retired in 1986. Ed had a love for the Lord and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Ed loved to cook for the church and was well known for his shrimp and crayfish boils. He also loved to smoke ribs and brisket and did so for many church meals and schools. He also loved to fish and travel within the United States and Canada.He married Margaret Faught on September 3, 1994 and moved to Gore, Oklahoma where he resided upon his death. Ed and Margaret enjoyed being members of the Mule Skinner Club and The Muskogee Twirlers Square Dance Club.Ed will always be remembered for his strong work ethics which he taught his children and they have instilled into their families.Although he will be dearly missed, we are comforted in knowing he will be reunited with his grandchildren, Kelli Lou and Corey Edward.He was also preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Vera Kaiser, a sister, Sue and his special uncle and aunt, Barney and Anna Kaiser.He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Margaret Kaiser of Gore; son, Edward II and wife Missy of Oklahoma City; son, Gary and Kathy Kaiser of Washougal, Washington; daughter, Debra Wilson of Moore, Oklahoma and step-children, Tressa and Frankie Heytz, Martha Gore and George and Becky Faught all of Muskogee. Other survivors are 10 grandchildren, Kevin and Cody Wilson, Nickalus and Jessica Kaiser, Chase Kaiser, Sara and Andrew Coker and Tyler, Jamison and Savannah Faught; three great-grandchildren, Michael, Abby and Ava; two brothers, Jerry Kaiser of Muskogee and Shannon Kaiser of Haskell and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will also be missed by his beloved dogs, Socks and Buddy.The family will meet friends at Foster-Petering Funeral Home Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for viewing. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, February 13th at Eastside Community Church, 500 E. Peak Blvd., Muskogee. Pastor Kurt Henry and Pastor Vance Mooney will officiate. Interment will follow in Ft Gibson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Stone, Donnie Stanhope, son-in-law, Frankie Heytz and grandsons, Tyler Faught, Andrew Coker and Jamison Faught. Military honors will be presented at the graveside by members of American Legion Post 15. Friends may wish to remember Ed by making memorials to the
