I served with Ed at HHC Special Troops USARV at Long Binh Post I had the pleasure of helping him make the Army give him back a year of his life for failing to meet its commitment to him he wrote me a letter after getting home thanking me for that help Like most Vietnam Veterans I wanted my year in key am in the rear view mirror as far and as fast as I could get it there Now 55 years later I am sorry that I did not keep up with those I knew then like Ed I am so happy to see that Ed had a wonderful life even if too short of one And that he had a great family as part of that life My condelances to them Here is a picture of Ed at the center of a number of his comrades in Vietnam in 1969 or 1970
