To all Eddie's Family,
It was with great pleasure that my Mom, Dora Taylor, met Eddie and introduced him to us. They were so happy together, and I could tell that this was the kind of love Eddie had been looking for all his life. We so enjoyed having him join our family at the John J. Flanagan, III Memorial Golf Tournament in 2003 and 2004 to honor my son, John. For some reason, Eddie seemed to connect with John, who passed away in a scuba-diving accident, eight years ago. Although they had never met, he insisted on having John's picture on his dresser and on wearing a cap with John's name on it. I know, without a doubt, that John welcomed Eddie into heaven with love and warmth.
I wish to thank Philip, Peter, and Eddie and his wife, Donna, for the love and care extended to my Mom. I know your Dad is so very proud of every one of you. My Mom just the other night said with such peacefulness how comforting it was to be surrounded by her sons. I know only the three of you were there. You are our extended family.
We look forward to welcoming all Eddie's children into ours, and we have already begun discussing plans on gathering together sometime in 2005.
Only God knows the plans He has for us. Although we don't always understand why such sad events happen, there always seems to be a door that opens up and lets love in.
I pray you will believe without question, that God is there for all of us - my prayers and sympathies are with you, and I truly look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our family.
God Bless, Linda Yost
