LITWALK – Edward J., 88, Johnstown, died Nov. 19, 2008, at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born Jan. 25, 1920, in Johnstown, son of Wasil and Mary (Miller) Litwalk. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Mary and Agnes Litwalk; brothers, George and William Litwalk; and stepson, Richard McCreary. Survived by wife, the former Mayme (Strazik) Litwalk-McCreary; stepchildren, Lawrence McCreary, married to the former Nancy Kupchella, Nanty Glo; Shirley, wife of Jerry Weese, Maryland; and Dennis, married to the former Carolyn Franceschini, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of Paul Litwalk, married to the former Cheryl Leadbetter, Johnstown. Retired supervisor of AIRCO of Johnstown. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Member of LOOM and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Martin Cingle. Committal, Grandview Cemetery. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. Graveside military service by Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.

Mrs. Litwalk-McCreary, Paul, Larry, Sorry to read of Ed's passing. I will always will remember his laugh and great outlook on life. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sorry this is late, but I am in Mexico and just reviewed the Tribune home page.
