Edward Lum Obituary
SUISUN VALLEY < A funeral for Edward F. Lum, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rockville Cemetery, 4219 Suisun Valley Road.
Mr. Lum died Sunday, July 18, 2004.
A native of San Francisco, he lived in Suisun Valley where he was a rancher for 62 years raising fruit and vegetables. He was also an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. Mr. Lum attended Armijo High School and graduated from Berkeley High School. He attended the University of California, Berkeley. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Nellie ³Dinky² Lum of Suisun Valley; daughter, Darlene Lum of Pleasanton; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Jessie Lum of Suisun Valley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Greg Yee of Orinda, Eva Lee of Suisun Valley, and Ruby and Spencer Ng of El Cerrito; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Redwood Empire Chapter, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa, Calif. 95402 and the American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Fairfield, Calif. 94533.

My brother Rodney just informed me of Ed's passing. I offer my sympathies and condolences to the family. At least Ed will not see how bad the 49ers will be this season. I wish you and the entire Lum/Foon family well.Nancy Wong

What a wonderful man to have known. I remember the first time I met Mr. Lum, noticing how sincere and kind he was. Mr. Lum had a special quality, an air about him that showed how distinguished he was. We were so proud to have known him and to have shared the fun times with him and his family. Our thoughts are with the family and those who were close to him.
