It's really hard to believe that it's been a year since my father passed. Many more years since he could talk or carry a conversation with me or go to lunch. Dementia is a cruel disease. I wish so much that I could watch him experience my kids growing up.

When I made this tribute I chose this song for a reason. It is Fix you by Cold Play. I also structured the photos and memories in reverse order because the final years was not who my father really was. He was so much more. He was a father, a husband, a wonderful employee and member of the community, an athlete, a comedian, a brother, a son, and a grandson. I did the best I could to show that in this tribute. RIP Dad.

It is very sad to read of Ed's passing and so sorry for your personal loss. Ed and I worked together at City National Bank and lived in the same neighborhood on the East Side of Fort Worth for many years. We shared many good memories with all of the banking family there. Heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of Ed's family. Ed was a lifelong friend of my brother, and as such, became a friend to all of us in the Porter and Campbell families. I remember him as a really nice person, with a great wit and personality. Prayers for all who mourn his loss, especially his immediate family.

Ed and I have been close friends 1953 ( the third grade at St. Alice). The past 64 years Ed has always been a very special friend, always there when you needed his help. Ed was a good Christian,a good American and an all around good man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him as I did.
