I remember when I was really little, I hung out with him a lot when he lived at my grandma's house. We would always play fight, but he was always nice to me and my siblings.

My Dear Eddie, I don't know what made me Google your name today but I did and I found your obituary. Not a great way to hear of the passing of a long time friend. My deepest sympathy to Kim, Brian, Alex and your loving siblings and relatives. We shared many good times, and bad, but what I always knew was that your heart was good and that you were kind and generous..perhaps too much so. Rest in peace my friend.

When I moved to New York from California in 1982 Eddie was a specialist at the New York Stock Exchange and he generously invited me to have lunch there a few times. I was so honored by this, but even more grateful that he was so friendly and down to earth. Over the years that made the biggest impression and is what I will remember most. I´m sure he is in a good place now and will once again be generous enough to invite me to join him there someday.
