My dear Janet, Crystal, Kathy, Brian and family,
Am so sorry to hear the news about Ed and your loss!
Ed was a wonderful, kind and generous man and I always remember him smiling. He had a kind smile and a good kind heart!
Ed helped me so much and supported me when I most needed it! I loved that he praised Ukrainian culture so much. He made me appreciate my roots more than ever before. I am not the only person Ed helped. I know that he left a legacy that will last for eternity! All those people, Ukrainian community, people from all over Canada and world have been touched by Ed's kindness & kindness is never forgotten! And neither will be Ed!
I am so sorry that life is so unfair and takes away good people so soon.
I am with you in my thoughts and in my heart! I wish I could be in Canada right now…
Mariya

Janet and family:
The first time I met Ed was at Camp Trident on Crystal Lake. He approached me and began to tell the story of the Immersion Program for Adults. His enthusiasm was overwelming, and since that time we have worked together for the betterment of community. I was sad to hear of of his repose. Truly he was a valiant man! May his Memory be Eternal. My condolences, Fr. Patrick Powalinsky

Janet, Crystal, Kathy, Brian and the Lysyk family
I was saddened to hear of Ed's passing and my heart goes out to each one of you.
Ed was just Ed – a remarkable person – full of life, enjoyed each day to the fullest, enjoyed his family, friends and took such pride in his community and especially his Ukrainian roots. Working with Ed for over 14 years was a pleasure and such an enjoyable time of my working career. Ed was always available to lend a helping hand and always had a funny story to tell in only a way Ed could tell it – which would bring tears of laughter to everyone around. Ed had such integrity, never lost sight of who he was and treated everyone he met with such respect – in turn he received the utmost respect from everyone that met him. Ed was a friend to everyone…..the world has lost a wonderful person.
A friend aways,

Most sincere condolences to Janet and the entire Lysyk family. I only met Ed last year but in that time had grown to appreciate Ed as a kind, gentle, caring and generous individual. His sense of humour and enthusiasm for his passions was evident. I greatly appreciate all that he did for Ukrainian Canadians and the community at large.

My sincere condolences to Janet, Crystal, Kathy and Brian. I will miss hunting Ed down for a quick visit at Mosaic. I will always remember the funny stories he would tell when the kids were growing up. Ed taught me so much during the 14 years I worked for him and I will always be grateful for his patience, kindness and integrity. He was so deserving of the respect bestowed on him and will be missed. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.
