Edward Pagliuso Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 16, 2025.
Edward Bertram Pagliuso, born on November 4, 1948, in Glendale, California, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Torrance, California.

Edward was a man of deep passions and unique qualities. He had a profound love for music and found joy and peace at the beach. His faith was central to his life; he cherished reading his Bible and attending church. Edward's compassionate nature and loving spirit touched the lives of those around him. Known for his intelligence and individuality, he embraced life with a perspective shaped by his experiences as someone with autism and Asperger's syndrome. He appreciated the world and people around him with a rare depth that left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

May Edward's memory bring comfort to those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.

Ed was a good friend in our years with the Worldwide Church of God in Long Beach. We were fellow choir members under Mr. Dennis, Mr. Berg, and Mr. McColm, and in the years that I directed the choir. We traveled together with friends one year to Seattle for our annual Feast of Tabernacles one year. If memory serves me correctly, Ed lost his wallet with all his money on the way. We went to the police to report the loss. At the station, a friendly young man showed up with the wallet, which had been dropped on nearby grass. When we tried to thank the man and give him a reward, he had disappeared. We all concluded that we had witnessed an angel unawares!
Ed was always pleasant to be around and we enjoyed his sense of fun and humor. In the 90s he introdused me to Al Jolson by giving me a cassette tape of Jolson on the George Burns radio show. We will all miss Ed and hope to see him again in the resurrection.

I met Ed through church. He was fond of his heavy bible & he loved taking notes. I enjoyed hearing him sing Rick James, Super Freak. He was
a hugger & I think I was his only Bonita Senorita I will miss him at church but most of all at our church activities where he enjoyed eating, talking, singing & playing games. We love you Ed & Miss you

I'm not sure what my first memory is. However every single memory /encounter I ever had with Ed was positive and full of love. It was the honor of my life to spend some great quality time with My sweet mama Jean and dear brother Ed. I'm thankful for the love and insight he shared with me over the years. He sent cards to Fernando and I multiple times a year and we kept in touch until I lost my phone few years ago. I just got his new number and sadly didn't reach out in time.
He will forever be fondly remembered for being a true man of God and true brother that only ever showed us love and support. I look forward to spending time again together in Our Fathers House!
We forever love you Ed!
