PEETE, EDWARD DONALD: Edward D. Peete Sr. 93, of Manson, North Carolina has returned home to be with his wife Patricia Ann {Chapman) Peete on November 20, 2024. He was born April 28, 1931, to the late Edward {Peete and Rose {Jerome) Peete of Indian Orchard, Massachusetts. He is survived by his sister, Judy Wheelock of Middletown CT. He is predeceased by five siblings, Mildred Ladue, Joan Dragon, Richard Peet's, Nancy Nadeau, and Lorraine McRobbie. Ed and Patricia met when playing in the Ancient Fife and Drum Corp and were married in 1952Ed served in the U.S. Navy as a radio man on the USS Samuel B. Robertson DD-823 and was honorable discharged in 1954. Through the years Ed and Pat raised 9 children and is survived by them all. Joan and husband Charlie Warzecha of Manson, North Carolina, Leona and late husband Norman Harding of Corinth ME, Edward Jr. and wife Roseann Peete of Summerfield, Fl, Pamela and husband Scott Parlee of Corinna, ME, Patti and husband Allen Small of Palmyra, ME, Ginny and husband Bill Sanborn of Wethersfield, CT, Michael Roy and Cindy Peete, Lori and husband Randy Jones of Newport, ME and Peter and wife Wendy Peete of Newport, North Carolina. Ed will be missed by 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. To provide for his family he built a very successful auto repair business in Cromwell, CT. Later in his life he moved his family to East Newport, ME which he lovingly called GOD'S Country. Ed with the help of the family built their log cabin home. During their stay in Maine he built another business, Peete's General Store, where he worked with family members and befriended many residents. These residents were people he called friends and he was viewed by them in the same manor. Ed was at peace the most when he was at his wood lot strategically thinning out the trees. Ed and Pat moved to Summerfield, FL around 1994 where he began his retirement. During his retirement he enjoyed several activities, Billiards, Horseshoes, and visiting Biloxi, MS, but Las Vegas was on the top of his list. Ed competed in the senior games where he won first place in billiards sectionals multiple times. He and Pat moved back to Essex, CT around 2003 with Joan and Charlie. After the passing of his wife Patricia, he moved back to Maine ( GOD'S COUNTRY) with Lori and Randy. Ed loved to be in the woods, he continued to be active cutting and splitting multiple cords of firewood until he was 90 years old. While back in Maine he met Maxine, a good friend and companion he spent time with, reminiscing of the past and playing cards. The last few years he moved to Manson, N. C. with Joan and Charlie. Ed and Pat instilled old world values, honesty, hardworking, caring for others with family first always. These values are what made us all who we are and allowed us to live our lives without the dependence on other outside programs.

Special thanks to Joan and Charlie Warzecha, for their warmth, love and the extraordinary Care of our father who will be forever missed.

Well, here I go Dad just as Lori said it was hard for me to sit and do it but now I made too because I need to. Life has been so crazy and sometimes it seems unbearable. But with my faith in the Lord and the upbringing and teaching that you and mom brought us up with. I´m able to stand on my own 2 feet, but also leaning on the Lord. I miss you and thank you for all that you´ve done as a dad for us, your work ethic was admirable. Rest in peace till I see you again love Nona.

Days and weeks and now it has been two months since you´ve gone. I was just able to make myself finally get this up on this site. I thought procrastinating as I sometimes do, would make it easier. But it hasn´t. Life at times seems so unfair, but when I think back at the things you and Mom have taught me, it will get better. My faith will guide me through. Love and miss you Pops.
