I was lucky to not be the first-born in my family. My big brother Edward was 3 years older, with a sister in between and a sister after me. I shared a room with him until I was 15 when he married. Edward was my mentor in all things before and after he married Dixie. If he ever gave me bad advice I must have not been listening as things always turned out okay for me. We rode bikes, built soap-box cars, played sports together, and sometimes did some mischievous things together. All in all, I would never have traded him for Wally Cleaver or David Nelson and I will always be his Beaver or Rickey. Rest easy big brother you were the best.
