Edward James Siegmund

Edward James Siegmund, 65, of 97th Street, died Friday, April 18, 2008 in N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Siegmund was born May 1, 1942 in Niagara Falls, the son of Howard and Ruth (Quade) Siegmund.He attended local schools and served in the U.S. Navy for two years during Vietnam. He was formerly employed in the bake department at Airco Speer for 32 years, prior to retiring five years ago. He was a member of the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club and the Romeo Club. He was well known in Niagara Falls and was the greatest husband and father.He is survived by his wife, Donna (Klein) Siegmund, whom he married June 29, 1985; five daughters, Catherine (Erick) Norton of Minnesota, Debbie Carapezza of Massachusetts, Christine Carapezza of Niagara Falls, Rhonda Hebert of Wisconsin and Carla Carapezza of Niagara Falls; a son, Joe Carapezza of Massachusetts; and ten grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Irene Chase and Carol Conley.The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Rev Laura Norris-Buisch will officiate. Interment will be in N.F. Memorial Park Cemetery, Town of Lewiston.
