It’s been a year since your father passed away. He was the last of the 3 that did the documentary on the POW/Jew death camp Berga. Part of my family is, also, Jewish. Thankfully, my Grandma Helen Schwarz-Wells’s people immigrated before the turn of the 20th century. One of my Grandfather’s Harold McKee was in Battle of the Bulge, thankfully, not captured. I want you to see my connection, however tenuous, to your father’s story, but to mainly say I’ll never forget. I will fight tooth and nail to keep this from happening again.

The largest man, I never met him, but I love him. Both my grandfathers served and were lucky enough to return. Ed will live on in my heart

I met this wonderful man at Costco when I saw his WWII Veteran cap. It turned out that he like my dad was captured at the Battle of the Bulge. He then told me of his ordeal in a Concentration Camp. We became friends and on most of his trips to Costco he would stop to see me in the liquor store where I worked . Rest In Peace my friend.

Every time I see Mr.Slotkin in the National Geographic documentary it brings tears to my eyes. It is easy to see how painful the memories were. He is a true American hero. I truly hope he now rests in the peace he deserves.
