Edward Towers Obituary
A native of Jefferson County, AL, Mr. Towers was the son of the late Virgil Jim and Edna Mae Bennett Towers. He was preceded in death by three brothers I.W. (Ike) Towl, Bobby Dean Towers and Billy Robert Towers.
Survivors include his wife Barbara S. Towers of Colbert, step-daughter; Donna Marshall and husband Travis of Watkinsville, step-sons; Mark Connally and wife Gail of Cary, NC, and Robert Connally and wife Nikki of Sterling, VA, sister; Linda Pate of Fayetteville, NC, grandchildren Camden Marshall, Taylor Marshall, Jonathan Connally, and Emylee Connally, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Shubert, Brian Eubanks, Jimmy Johnson, Tony Shubert, Lannie Crane, and Bud Pitts.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 6, at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Lee officiating. Interment will be held at the Colbert City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday, January 5 at Bernstein Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 17 Executive Park Drive, Suite 115, Atlanta, GA 30329.
