Edward Trock Obituary

Visit the Legacy Remembers website to view the full obituary.
Born on March 12, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio to Walter Trock and Clara Trock, Edward "Ed" George Trock passed away peacefully in his home on July 31, 2025. He is survived by his three adult sons, Jason Trock, Joseph Trock, and James Trock; four beloved grandchildren, Daniel Trock (18), Emily Trock (15), Saylor Trock (7), and Navie Trock (3); and two siblings, Susan Trock and Thomas Trock. Ed was a loving companion to Ann Williams. He is preceded in death by his brother Walter Trock, Jr.

Ed held a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University. He served two years in the Military Police Corps of the United States Army. Ed retired from his thirty-year career in sales at IBM in 2005.

Outside of his work, Ed was passionate about fishing, the Cleveland Browns, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ed coached youth baseball and soccer for his sons, was devout in his faith, and volunteered his time at Warehouse of Hope in Douglasville, Georgia. His greatest joy, however, came from time spent with his family, who will forever cherish his unwavering love and support.

A celebration of Ed's life will be held on August 31, 2025, from 1-4 pm at River Shoals Clubhouse at 13 River Shoals Drive SE, Cartersville, GA, 30120. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and share stories of a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Truth in Nature (https://truthinnature.org/), Samaritan's Purse (https://samaritanspurse.org), or Warehouse of Hope (https://warehouseofhope.squarespace.com) in honor of Ed's memory.
