When we think of Eddie, our memories are that he was always the best person in the room. His sincere kindness and gentle demeanor reflected the way he cared for people, whether he was just meeting them or was a long time acquaintance. The pain that Louise and their daughters are feeling will give way to a lifetime of cherished memories, and sadness will be replaced with smiles over time as sights and sounds will bring joyful recollections of happy times. The ones that we love the most are the ones that stay with us the longest in our hearts, and in that way, Eddie will be eternal.

I worked at Tsoi/Kobus from 1992 to 1997 and worked closely with Ed on the Suffolk University Law School for several years. I found Ed to be a tremendous architect and leader, and a true gentleman. He was a mentor of mine and offered me numerous opportunities to grow as an architect. In addition to establishing a firm of high-quality design, Ed Tsoi also established a great culture at CUBE3, one where employees worked hard but also had a lot of fun along the road to producing great architecture. When I decided to leave Tsoi/Kobus, it was a difficult decision given the many strong relationships I had established over 5 years. Ed, every graceful, thanked me for my work and wished me well. That was Ed Tsoi - elegant, a gentleman, a great man, great architect, great leader. Bless Ed and his family. Doug Carr.

I fondly remember the summer of 1987, when I worked with Ed as a summer intern in his office. Ed was congenial, immaculately professional, and driven to make Tsoi Kobus successful. He modeled what it meant to be a gentleman and an architect and leaves a huge legacy in Boston's design community.
