Medford - Edward Marcelino Villa, son of Marcelino Villa and Carmen (Carciofi) Villa known affectionately as Eddie, passed away at the age of 93 on October 14, 2024, in Winchester, MA. Born on March 30, 1931, in Boston, MA. and resided in the Somerville area, he was a cherished figure in his family and beloved by many.

Eddie was a proud veteran in the US Army where he dedicated six years of his life. During the Korean War, he was stationed for many years in Austria where he met his beloved wife Wilhelmina "Billie" Pichler. His hardworking, humorous, and family-oriented nature endeared him to all who knew him. Eddie was a true family man, deeply involved in the lives of his loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Billie; his sister, Carmen Gregory; his children and their spouses, Edward and Maureen Villa, Linda and Jim Testa, Christopher and Michele Villa; as well as Stephen and Kim Jackson and Christine Villa. He leaves behind many grandchildren; Edward Villa and Coreen Villa, James Testa and Nathan Testa, Andrea Sherman and Danielle Villa, Alecia Houle, and Chris Villa (Jr.). Eddie was also a proud great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren and adored by many nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by his siblings, Anita Shaw and Gilda Hodgkins Lee, and his son, Gino Villa.

Eddie was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting and spent many years at Nippo Lake in New Hampshire. His passion for the Boston Bruins was unmatched and was a member of the Boston Bruins Gallery Gods, often bringing his family and friends together to enjoy a game.

Services to honor Eddie's life will be held as a private intimate ceremony for immediate family on November 8, 2024.

Eddie's legacy of laughter, dedication, and love for his family will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed.
