Ed and Ruth Zacks were among the first to befriend us when we began wintering at Scottsdale House in Arizona.
Ed led our winter golf activities for many years and both were considered pillars of our community.
Ed and Ruth made the world a brighter and better place and we will miss them.

I only just read of Mr. Zacks death in today's paper, too late to pay my respects at the funeral home or at services. My deepest sympathy to you all. The whole Erie community has lost a great gentleman.

Dear Family,
I am a Physical Therapist Assistant Student working a clinical at Forestview. I had the honor and privilege of working with Mr. Zacks for a few visits. He was only there for a short time but we both had our first days at Forestview at the same time. He was a great man and had a wonderful sense of humor. I would have loved to get to know him better. I was truly touched by him in just a short time. My deepest sympathy goes out to you. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Our Dear Friends, the Family of Ed Zacks:
Devoted Husband, Father, Uncle and Friend--these were not words for Ed; they were welcome obligations. He walked tall among all men and his concern and compassion for others will be his enduring legacy. He reached for and to everyone and his life was an inspiration to all that he touched.
With gratitude for his friendship and with our heartfdelt sympathy,
Rosalie Cale
