Edward Zaloudek Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2012.
Edward James Zaloudek, 62, of Sarona, WI, went to his heavenly home on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012.

Edward was born on July 30, 1950, to Anton and Amelia (Mazel) Zaloudek. Edward lived his entire life in the Sarona area.
Edward was united in marriage to Eileen Emerson in Spooner, WI, on October 25, 1969.
He was employed for over 40 years at Lamperts in Spooner, WI. He loved to visit with people and discuss business and to enjoy "cow talk" with his friends. He loved farming and raising beef cattle. Riding the gator through the hay fields, corn fields and the cattle brought him a lot of pleasure. Edward truly loved the Lord and it was very evident in his life. He loved being a member of the Spooner Wesleyan Church. Edward dearly loved his family and they loved him. They know he is now celebrating in the Hallelujah Square.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anton Zaloudek and a brother, Robert Zaloudek.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; his children, Mary (Ty) Sahr of Spooner, WI, Monty (Julie) Zaloudek of Sarona, WI, Tina (Michael) Bader of Waterford, WI; his mother, Amelia Zaloudek; his brothers and sisters, Allen (Brenda) Zaloudek, John (Delores) Zaloudek, Gary (Rosemary) Zaloudek, Marjorie (Curtis) Johnson, Lois (Robert) Kemp, Karen (Mike) Dostal; 14 grandchildren; and many relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the Spooner Wesleyan Church. Visitation Thurs., Aug. 9 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner, WI, and Friday, Aug. 10, one (1) hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at the Sarona Cemetery following the funeral services. Luncheon will be served after the interment at the Spooner Wesleyan Church Fellowship Hall.

Pall bearers will be Jeff Burch, Harley Bergeron, Mark Ullom, John Zehm, Scott Carls, and John Lawson.

To The Zaloudek Family,
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to all of you. I'm sorry that I did not hear of Ed's death until now. I will light a candle and pray for him. I was a co-worker from Lamperts main office in St. Paul. I worked as the Sales Manager for the company and it was my pleasure call on him.
Ed was a truly unique individual. He was the consumate professional and he had the sales awards to prove it! I was proud to have able to present them to him and to honor his accomplishments. He gave me alot of grief the years we had to wear neck ties to the annual sales meeting! I would always tell him "how good he cleaned up". He told me that he could also use it on me as a noose!
Like Ed, I am also a gentlemen farmer. We had many a conversation about cattle, grain prices, getting chased by steers, too much rain, not enough rain, got enough hay to get you to spring? I will miss Ed

He spoke fondly of his church and his family. I will say in closing that I am proud to have known Ed and to call him my friend. Heaven is a better place with "Fast Eddy" there.

Zaloudek family, thinking of you all as you morn the loss of your Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa, and Friend. I had the pleasure of growing up in the Spooner Wesleyan Church with Mary, Monty, & Tina. I clearly remember Ed passing the offering plate while ushering along side my Grandpa Wayne on Sunday mornings. He will be missed by so many I am sure, but YES he is with Jesus now. Thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

I was a classmate and fellow Spooner High graduate of Ed and Eileen. I stopped to see him at Lampert's when I returned to Spooner for a visit a few months ago, but he was not at work that day. I wanted to tell him my prayers were with him, but I never got the chance. May the Good Lord bless and keep you, Ed. Till we meet again . .

It brings me great joy too know your suffering with cancer is over. Cancer didn't win the battle either!! God is in control. Whats the "new" body like dad? Whats it like to walk on streets of gold? I love you Dad!!! I can't wait to reunite with you....I can't wait to run into your arms and give you a giant hug!!! I miss you dad! I love you, you were the best!

I graduated from high school with Lois and I do remember her brother Ed. I am so glad he loved the Lord and that you will all see him in Heaven although you will miss him dearly here on earth. If you feel up to it, Lois, I would love to see you at the class reunion Saturday but, if not, my sympathies and prayers are with your family, especially Eileen and his children.

Sincerely,

Jean (Peterson) Florek

Ed-A-Bird - You were a very very special person and touched so many people with your gentle genuine caring ways. Your faith in our Lord never once failed, not even during your courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. We all miss you so much, but we know you are enjoying the "WOW" of heaven. Love you, Ed-A-Bird.
