Edwin Boebel Obituary
He married his best friend, Kathy (Patt) Boebel on June 10, 1967 at Windsor UCC. They spent the past 57 years sharing a joyful life together filled with many adventures while creating a beautiful family. Ed served the Wisconsin DNR for over 40 years, where everyone knew "Eddie". He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and conservationist. He shared many fun times, laughs, and excursions with his large group of close friends and sportsman buddies.
His most beloved destination was OPAMO, the family cabin in Canada. Ed was also an avid sports enthusiast and was a loyal fan of the Badgers and Packers. The most important part of his life was his family. He cherished his role as Papa and always enjoyed laughter filled gatherings with the full family no matter the occasion. Ed is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children, Brian (Erika) Boebel and Kris (Mike) Hasson; and five grandchildren, Ben, Libby, Tommy Boebel and Ava, Jenna Hasson. He was prececed in death by his parents and brother, Stan.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 13 at 11:30am at Windsor United Church of Christ, 4434 Second Street, Windsor, WI 53598. Visitations will be held at the church on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 5-7:00pm and Friday, Sept. 13 from 10-11:30am. The service will be live streamed at windsorucc.com. Instead of flowers, the family encourages all memorials be directed to Windsor UCC with the aspiration of establishing the Boebel Family Legacy Fund to support future needs of the church.
Our heartfelt thanks to all at SSM Health for their exceptional care of Ed's health needs over the years. They began as our providers, but we now consider them our friends.
