Edwin Thomas Cox

Ventura - Edwin Thomas Cox passed away Saturday May 11, 2024, at home surrounded by wife of 61 years Jacquie, Son's Donald (wife Cindie) and James, daughter Charnell Smith (husband Myles) sister Joann and nieces, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his son Blake Cox (wife Carrie).

Edwin graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1955 and enlisted in the Army a month later, he was stationed in Oklahoma. He learned his love and passion for surveying in the Army. He loved surveying so much he worked 6 days a week until his passing at 87 years old.

He was an amazing family man; he coached Packers Football, Montalvo Little league and was involved with his son's Boy Scouts and Indian Guides. He loved camping, water skiing, dirt bike riding (Ridge Rider Club) all with his children showing them the beautiful outdoors. Later in life his grandkids and great grandkids were everything to him. His door was ALWAYS open to all of them. He had a beautiful passion for his dogs, his dog Shadow was well known to go to all his work sites.

We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Pacific Crest (Hospice) Lesley, Alissa and Talicia we could have not made it through this without you three. The amazing care and love you gave our Dad and Mom was unbelievable!! You are family now.
