I found Pastor Elliott to be a wonderful person and a fine Christian man. He will certainly be missed!

I attended RPC for a short period in the late 80s, driving down to Manassas from Columbia once each month. I was thinking about him and the Christian Observer earlier tonight, then I did an Internet search and learned of his passing. He was always encouraging whenever I visited, and I thoroughly enjoyed his company and that of his family when they inevitably invited me over for lunch after church.
I shall keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Elliott Family, I am so saddened by the death of Edwin. He was a wonderfaul man who allowed God to lead him. His love for life, for people, and his calling are a legacy to all who knew him.

I an so sorry to hear of Edwin's passing. I have thought of you all often and didn't find out until homecoming in Water Valley today. Edwin officiated at our wedding in 1973. This was before he was ordained. I still see him walking out the side door of the church carrying my overnight bag. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. He also baptized our first child. My thoughts and love go to all of the family.

Edwin Elliott was one of the “greatest” men I have ever known. A kind and gentle man with an enormous heart and an outstanding role model as a husband, father, brother and son. His knowledge of Scripture and the Wisdom he shared was priceless. I am most grateful to have spent the many hours with him privately and in the pew of his Church. I will miss him and I am very excited that he was called home. With Love & Gratitude, Dave Albin & Family

Dear Elliotts,
Mr Elloitt was the most thoughtful and caring person I have ever met. I have so many happy memories of him.I still remember him driving me and my friends to church every sunday and wednesday when we were younger. He had so much unconditional love and he will be missed. My sympathies are with you.

I never had the privilege of meeting Pastor Elliott but feel that he and his congregation have been a huge part of my recovery of breast cancer. He and Bob (also have not had the privilege of meeting, but hope to) had dinner frequently at a restaurant where my husband works. He put me on the prayer list of your church and I will be eternally grateful. He inspired my husband and I think helped him to get through our troubled times. I am sorry I did not get to meet him and let him know how grateful I was to him and his congregation. My prayers are with his family and church during your time of sorrow.

Condolences to the Elliott family and the congregation. Edwin will certainly be missed. He was a most remarkable man - with an exceptional intellect that he used to bless and instruct rather than to impress or intimidate others. His unfailing kindness and graciousness can be seen from how he ministered to people of various backgrounds and stations in life - including the unborn - during his entire lifetime. We have had better lives for having known him and we have known the Lord better through his ministry. He married us in 1986 and we will never forget him.

To the Elliott Family: We were so sorry to hear about the passing of Edwin. My husband and I attended Osbourn High School with him. We knew him to be a very kind and caring person. We spoke with him last at one of our class reunions and it was very enjoyable. He had invited us to visit his church. We will always remember him. God Bless!!

We are sorry for your loss. Jim grew up with Edwin and when ever we were in Manassas made sure we got to his church to say hello. I only knew him for a short time but knew he was a special person. We know that he will be missed by many friends and family. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Elliot's, our deepest sympathies are with you. We moved into his neighborhood only a year ago, but quickly became part of an extended family. Dr. Elliott married us only 3 short weeks ago, he truly was a blessing to our family. You will be greatly missed.
