Edwin B Klumpp Jr., 76 years old, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2025, at 11:22am from complications of a heart condition.

Ed was born September 2nd, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Edwin Klumpp and Elizabeth Klumpp (nee Jones).

Ed graduated from Woodrow Wilson Highschool in Levittown, Pennsylvania in 1967 and was an avid learner, earning an Associate Degree in Chemistry, and later in life attending classes at St. Petersburg College in Florida.

Throughout life, Ed's hobbies often aligned with his chosen vocation. He loved science, travel, and the arts. During his life he worked in set design and lighting for various Tri-State theater companies, electronic and computer repairs, apartment maintenance, chemical cleaning and passivation, cash register installation and repair, retail management, patrol and undercover work for an armed security company, real estate sales, and was a small business owner of the ice cream shop Just Desserts in Bristol, Pennsylvania.

Ed was a very caring and giving person and had an affinity for animals. Once retired, he did volunteer work in the St. Pete area to help others. He was especially proud of his service on the PSTA Transit Riders Advisory Committee.

Ed enjoyed spending time with numerous friends and acquaintances in Florida. He also looked forward to visits from his sister BarbaraJean, niece Kimi, and grand-nephew Ronin who reside in Pennsylvania.

Preceding Ed in death are his parents Ed and Betty Klumpp and brother-in-law Robert McGonigle.

He will be dearly missed by his little sister BarbaraJean McGonigle, niece Kimiko "Kimi" (Patrick) Clarke, grand-nephew Ronin Clarke, nephew Kenichi "Keni" (Stephanie) McGonigle, grand-nephew Jude McGonigle, and his beloved cat Daphne.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday September 29th, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Bristol (6139 Bristol-Emilie Road, Levittown, PA 19057) with Pastor William Smith officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation to your local animal shelter in Ed's memory.
