A year has past, but your love and inspiration lives on in all those you have left behind. The hole left in my heart may never be filled, but as I said one short year ago, “Thank you so much for everything.” We light a candle for you in remembrance of your enduring spirit and to celebrate a life so full of love. We miss you so much, and long for those warm times past. Thank you so much for all that you were, and all that you have become as a piece of us all.

Jim & Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I was so very shocked and sorry to hear about Edwina’s passing. She was an amazing lady and we were so blessed to have lived next door to her and Jim for so many years. Edwina had a very special place in Hope and David’s life and I will always be so grateful that she stayed in contact with them even though she and Jim moved away. To comfort you at this difficult time I hope that your many memories bring you peace. I hold you and your family deeply in my thoughts, and remember that we never lose our loved ones while they remain in our hearts.

My Sincerest Sympathy

My darling Edwina,
Yesterday was 6 months since you had to leave. I miss you so much.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you.

I planted your garden in the back yard this spring. I know that you would approve how it turned out. I call it "Heaven's Gate".

You are loved so much, by so many.

Have a beautiful sleep my darling.

I love you forever.

Your sole mate, Jim

Hi Aunt Edwina,

I thought of you many times today on what would be your 56th birthday. You always remembered my birthday too. I know the family really missed you this past Mother's Day. I hope you are at peace and I know that you are looking down on all of us and sending your love.

Hi Mom,

Thank you for being with me on Mothers day. I could feel you there and it was a day that I really needed you for strength. I miss you. I know you are with me but I really miss our conversations. I have picked up the phone to call you many times and then remebered that the only way I can communicate with you now is through my heart.

I know you have a very strong soul because the changes that have come about as a result of your passing are numerous and amazing. I know you want it this way. I am very grateful for the lessons you have given my family and I. I am grateful for the relationship that Jim and I have developed. I feel very blessed that because of you my children have no fear of death. In fact Eve asked me the other day if dying is fun. Raeanne wore the ring that you gave her all day on Mothers day.

I love you and I thank you for all of the times you have visited me in dreams and otherwise. I know it is you I can feel it, Thank You.

Happy Mothers Day,
Jody

Yesterday was the second month anniversary of your passing.

My heart aches for you my darling.
There is such a void.
I continue to search for the silver linings in the dark clouds that are over me.
And as you taught me, I am trying to move forward.

The kids, grand kids and I continue to get together each Friday for Family night.
I am helping a friend from Church whose husband has Cancer too.
These opportunities would not have happened if it weren’t for you.
These are your legacies.

I miss you and I love you, my sole mate.

I can’t comprehend just how sad you must feel. For the loss of someone you love.
This sorrowful time must still feel unreal. I hope, from my heart, that your pain will decrease. That your spirit will gain strength again.

Edwina was one of the most amazing persons I have ever met. I can still hear her encouraging words, and feel her strength and support.

All my sypathies to her family and friends. She will be missed and treasured forever.

Dear Jim and Family,

I had the privilege of meeting Edwina last year while working in the Edmonton office. Edwina welcomed me with open arms and we grew into friends in a very short time. She was a genuine person with a huge heart and it was my absolute pleasure to have known her. Her face lit up when she spoke of her family, she was so proud of you all. She was a beautiful person and I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Please take care,

Jim and Family;
I have struggled all week to find the proper words to describe the type of person Edwina was and how she impacted so many of us during our careers and friendships. I have come to the conclussion there are no adequate words that would do her justice. Well maybe one and that would be "RARE". She truly was an extraordinary person who touched so many people and all of us who knew her are better off for it. My sincerest condolences.

Jim, Jay and family...

There was something special about Edwina. Maybe it was her smile, her thoughtful words, or the fact that she worked hard at everything she took on, but from the first time I met her I thought of her as a genuinely nice person. Whether in business or running into her out in the public somewhere, I always walked away with a smile.

My thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time.

To Jim and Family with Love.

We have been reminded numerous times over the years on how blessed we are to have had Edwina part of our lives. She was an incredibly strong person, who quietly led, supported, and made sure we were all taken care of. She was the calm. She was strong. She is the breathe of success. Her love in her personal life, and the growth in her career. Edwina inspired those around her by being a true leader not just at work, but as a person. She willing held others close under her wing. Her love for others and her character was unwavering as she watched us grow. Without judgment, with admiration, she supported us and was always there for us. You could always feel the wisdom in her words, and the passion and love from her heart. We loved the sparkle in her eye. When you needed her, she was always there. Losing her now, breaks a part of us, painfully, but knowing her we are all blessed more now in the realization of truly how great she was.

Unexpectedly and sadly, I stumbled over this notification loss about Edwina...I had no idea Edwina was ill.

Edwina and I often interacted with customer care type issues during the 22 years I worked at EDTEL. Edwina consistently displayed a profesional but friendly demeanor at work. She inspired many of her colleagues, and was especially supportive to many newer EDTEL employees assigned to Edwina's area of responsibility over the years.

I wish the very best comfort for each of Edwina's family as they struggle through this very sad storm.

Warmest regards,

Chris and Jim Funk

Jim and Family,

Edwina was truly one of kind. To her, I owe a personal debt of gratitude as a manager and person who took a chance on a young person and hired me into the business office in 1995 Our paths crossed again when I moved to Assure in 2005 and she become a valued mentor and friend as we worked closely together with the leadershiip development program which truly was her passion. I learned what a truly selfless person she was. Her calm demeanor, sense of humor and overall great nature will be missed by me as well as our entire office. It is rare to meet someone so kind, generous, authentic and honest. I was lucky enough to share this with her in person. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.

I know the love you two shared was like no other! There will always be that example of your true love, generous sharing and amazing kindness for the rest of us to live up to in our own lives.

Edwina was a wonderful, caring woman who will be missed tremendously. You all are in my thoughts and prayers during your time of sorrow and grief.
