A year has past, but your love and inspiration lives on in all those you have left behind. The hole left in my heart may never be filled, but as I said one short year ago, “Thank you so much for everything.” We light a candle for you in remembrance of your enduring spirit and to celebrate a life so full of love. We miss you so much, and long for those warm times past. Thank you so much for all that you were, and all that you have become as a piece of us all.

Jim & Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I was so very shocked and sorry to hear about Edwina’s passing. She was an amazing lady and we were so blessed to have lived next door to her and Jim for so many years. Edwina had a very special place in Hope and David’s life and I will always be so grateful that she stayed in contact with them even though she and Jim moved away. To comfort you at this difficult time I hope that your many memories bring you peace. I hold you and your family deeply in my thoughts, and remember that we never lose our loved ones while they remain in our hearts.

Hi Mom,
Thank you for being with me on Mothers day. I could feel you there and it was a day that I really needed you for strength. I miss you. I know you are with me but I really miss our conversations. I have picked up the phone to call you many times and then remebered that the only way I can communicate with you now is through my heart.
I know you have a very strong soul because the changes that have come about as a result of your passing are numerous and amazing. I know you want it this way. I am very grateful for the lessons you have given my family and I. I am grateful for the relationship that Jim and I have developed. I feel very blessed that because of you my children have no fear of death. In fact Eve asked me the other day if dying is fun. Raeanne wore the ring that you gave her all day on Mothers day.
I love you and I thank you for all of the times you have visited me in dreams and otherwise. I know it is you I can feel it, Thank You.

Yesterday was the second month anniversary of your passing.
My heart aches for you my darling.
There is such a void.
I continue to search for the silver linings in the dark clouds that are over me.
And as you taught me, I am trying to move forward.
The kids, grand kids and I continue to get together each Friday for Family night.
I am helping a friend from Church whose husband has Cancer too.
These opportunities would not have happened if it weren’t for you.

I have struggled all week to find the proper words to describe the type of person Edwina was and how she impacted so many of us during our careers and friendships. I have come to the conclussion there are no adequate words that would do her justice. Well maybe one and that would be "RARE". There was something special about Edwina. We have been reminded numerous times over the years on how blessed we are to have had Edwina part of our lives. She was an incredibly strong person, who quietly led, supported, and made sure we were all taken care of. She was the calm. She was strong. She is the breathe of success. Her love in her personal life, and the growth in her career. Edwina inspired those around her by being a true leader not just at work, but as a person. She willing held others close under her wing. Her love for others and her character was unwavering as she watched us grow. Without judgment, with admiration, she supported us and was always there for us. You could always feel the wisdom in her words, and the passion and love from her heart. We loved the sparkle in her eye. When you needed her, she was always there. When I think of Edwina, I think of someone who gave unconditionally, she was a gift to all of those lucky enough to be around her. She showed genuine concern for others. I had the opportunity to work with Edwina for a year. I unfortunately never met her in person but she was definitely a favorite Telus worker of mine. Unexpectedly and sadly, I stumbled over this notification loss about Edwina...I had no idea Edwina was ill.
Edwina and I often interacted with customer care type issues during the 22 years I worked at EDTEL. Edwina consistently displayed a profesional but friendly demeanor at work. She inspired many of her colleagues, and was especially supportive to many newer EDTEL employees assigned to Edwina's area of responsibility over the years.
I wish the very best comfort for each of Edwina's family as they struggle through this very sad storm.

Edwina was truly one of kind. To her, I owe a personal debt of gratitude as a manager and person who took a chance on a young person and hired me into the business office in 1995 Our paths crossed again when I moved to Assure in 2005 and she become a valued mentor and friend as we worked closely together with the leadershiip development program which truly was her passion. I was saddened to receive the news of Edwina's passing yet heartened to know she is at finally at peace knowing her memory will live on for a very, very long time. She was one of God's "Earth Angels" as she touched so many lives and souls in this crazy world. I remember how Edwina's eyes lit up as she recounted how Jim had taken the time and care to buy her a beautiful dress and then take her out dancing.
