JERRY HOLTZER Obituary
Age 76, of Center Twp., passed away on April 11, 2015. He was born in Greensburg on September 14, 1939, a son of the late Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Sarver) Holtzer. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Carolyn (Barlow) Holtzer. Jerry was a graduate of Penn State, where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was an avid Steelers fan and most of all a Penn State Football fan. He hardly ever missed a home game since 1960. Jerry was retired from Duquesne Light, where he last worked as a Manager of Customer Service. After retirement he enjoyed golfing and hanging out with his men's lunch group in various restaurants in the area. He also enjoyed going to George's Restaurant where he was a "regular" for breakfast. He also was a member of the local Rotary Club, and past President of the Salvation Army of Aliquippa. Jerry was also an active member, and former elder, of the Mt. Carmel Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his daughter, Gretchen (Lt. Col. Neil) Aurelio, Ph.D.; his grandchildren, Alexander and Troyson; he is also survived by his siblings, Vivian (Jim) Riggs, Jim (Alice) Martin, Barbara Martin, and Linda (Greg) Martin; sisters- in-law, Renee (Robert) Gobao, Sandra (Lou) Valicenti; and brother-in-law, Frank Barlow; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Nancy Prettiman, Louise Beggs. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC. of Aliquippa (2345 Mill St. 15001). A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Mt. Carmel Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2720 Broadhead Rd., Aliquippa, PA 15001. (Everyone please meet at the church). A private interment will take place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's name to the church or the Salvation Army of Aliquippa, 514 Franklin Ave., Aliquippa, PA 15001.

Gretchen i am so sorry to read of the loss of your father. I cleaned their home for quite some time and thoroughly enjoyed the conversations we shared. They were so proud of you and your family! And at that time you were expecting Troyson and they couldn't wait for his arrival. Your parents are beautiful people and will be terribly missed!
