Eileen B. Coyne was born Sunday, August 4, 1935 in Atlas, Mount Carmel Township, Northumberland County, PA, the daughter of the late George Bach and Bertha (Remash) Bach. Eileen was born fourth out of eleven children. She was preceded in death by her brothers George Jr., John, Charles and sister-in-law Antoinette Bach.
Eileen is survived by her husband Henry, her four children and nine grandchildren. Her children include son, Henry F. Coyne III, of Royersford, PA and his wife, Linda and two children, Henry IV and Emily; daughter, Lisa Marie Coyne of Mechanicsburg, PA; daughter Constance Sajer of Camp Hill, PA and her husband, Frank and three children, Sara, Megan and Kathleen; and daughter Colleen Sweeney of Orlando, FL and her husband, Patrick and four children, Seamus, Eileen, Liam and Quinn.
Eileen is also survived by her sisters, Rose Bechtel (late Earl) of Trenton, NJ; Anne Hladen (John) of Atlantic City, NJ; Christine Forti (William) of Wormleysburg, PA; Catherine Chervanick (Tom) of Leesport, PA and brothers Joseph (Lynn) of Seabrook, TX; James of Mechanicsburg, PA and Frank (Mary) of Mt. Carmel, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Eileen attended the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Mount Carmel, PA and Mt. Carmel (PA) Catholic High School, Class of 1954. After graduation from high school, Eileen worked as a bookkeeper for her father's business, Bach Beer Distributors, Mt. Carmel, PA. Later, she worked in the textile industry as a supervisor.
On September 24, 1960, Eileen married Henry F. Coyne in a marriage ceremony performed by the late Monsignor John Kealy, uncle of Henry Coyne, at Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (PA). In 1968, Eileen assisted her husband Henry in the establishment of his private law practice in Camp Hill and served as the office manager for the law office until her retirement in 2001.
During Eileen's early years she enjoyed sewing, painting, traveling (throughout the USA and abroad), cooking and baking. However, her greatest joy was being in the company of her children and grandchildren as well as her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to support Dr. Xuemei Huang's Parkinson's disease Research at Penn State Hershey by making contributions payable to "Penn State University" and directing in the memo line "For Dr. Xuemei Huang's Parkinson's Research". Donations should be mailed to Office of University Development, Penn State Hershey Medical Center, P.O. Box 850, Hershey, PA 17033.
Public visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at Malpezzi Funeral Home located at 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Paul Helwig at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA, 9:30am on Friday, December 5, 2014. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
