EILEEN HICKEY Obituary
Eileen G. Hickey (Age 71)
Of Kensington, MD, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was a graduate of Georgetown University Nursing School in 1968 and earned her law degree from Catholic University in 1989. She worked for 22 years as senior corporate counsel for Nationwide Insurance Company before retiring in 2011. She is survived by her husband, William J. Hickey; three children, Kerry Thelen (Andrew) of Manhattan Beach, Ca.; Dr. Ryan Hickey, of New York, NY; Keith Hickey (Danielle) of Ashburn, VA; as well as her father, William Guilfoyle of Easton, MD. and her siblings, Eleanor Hanson, William Guilfoyle and Bryan Guilfoyle. Eileen dearly loved her six grandchildren of Manhattan Beach, CA and Ashburn, VA, spending most of her spare time with them. Funeral services will be held at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Chevy Chase, DC. on April 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach, CA., and Virginia Hospital Center Medical Brigade, 1069 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA, 22046.

Eileen was someone very special. She set the bar as a person, mother and friend for all of us. It was a privilege to know her...always supportive, always positive,always fun and always learning and sharing something new.
