Eileen LAVERY Obituary
October 14, 1926 - February 8, 2017
Eileen Lavery (Taylor), a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on the morning of February 8, 2017. Eileen was predeceased by Bill Lavery, her husband of 68 years, in April 2015. Eileen was born in Regina and moved to Vancouver in her teen years. She graduated from St. Pats, where she met and fell in love with Bill. Her family, both immediate and extended, were extremely important to her and she cared deeply about each member. Eileen was appreciated by all for her warmth, generosity and commitment to family and friends. Eileen is survived by her five children Tim (Nancy), Susan, Janet (Rick), Daniel and Carol (Ian); her four grandchildren Christopher (Jen), Nick (Victoria), Maddie and Erin and many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to family, friends and especially to Jackie and Normanna staff who helped support Mom in her last few years. Prayers: Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m. at Kearney's Columbia-Bowell Funeral Chapel (219-6th St., New Westminster). Funeral Mass: Friday, March 3, 2017 at noon at St. Peter's Catholic Church (330-Royal Ave., New Westminster). Reception to follow afterwards in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society (BC).

As an aunt and my godmother, Auntie Eileen could not have been more loving, gracious, welcoming or endearing to all our family. She was so much fun to be with and I will miss her smile and laugh. So sorry for your loss especially so soon after Uncle Bill. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
