Eileen LeSarge Obituary

EILEEN (KELLY) LeSARGE April 23, 1932 December 26, 2009 Eileen is lovingly remembered by her husband John E. LeSarge; her sister Sheila (Kelly) Engele and husband Murray and their family; and her brother John Kelly and wife Rita and their family. She was predeceased by her parents James Patrick Kelly and Veronica Schwinghamer and by her brother James, a Benedicton novice. In 1950 Eileen entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and began teaching at the elementary and secondary levels until she pursued studies in Art History at the University of Toronto. She then taught at the school of Art at the University of Manitoba. After teaching for 43 years she retired. She then left religious life and married Rev. John LeSarge and lived in Winnipeg for 21 years. They moved to Kingston, ON. In 2008 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and entered the Helen Henderson Care Centre where she died. A funeral Mass was celebrated in Eileen's honour at Blessed Sacrament Church, Amherstview, ON on January 9, 2010. Rite of committal with prayers at St. Mary's Cemetery in the spring.

Please accept our belated condolences. We have fond memories of meeting with Eileen when my mother visited us in Winnipeg.
