Funeral services for Eileen Matson will be held at 10:00 AM Monday November 17 at West Hill Cemetery. Rick Matson will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Matson, 81, passed away Thursday November 13 at Texoma Medical Center.
Eileen was born February 5, 1933 in San Diego, California to the late Floyd and Gertrude (Caswell) Kimzey. She married Keith Matson on August 2, 1952 at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock. She was a devoted homemaker and a loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Matson is survived by her husband Ret Lt Col Keith Matson of Durant; two daughters, Patricia Hunt of Sherman and Karen Kainrad and husband Alan of Sherman; two granddaughters, Ashley Blackham and wife Leigh Schroeder of Austin and Kristin Simonds and husband Michael of Waldorf, MD; grandson, Christopher "Pudsy" Blackham and wife Anna of Fayetteville, NC; and step grandchildren, Aron Yert, Allisyn Loudermilk, Adam Kainrad, and Josef Kainrad.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday at Waldo Funeral Home. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
