Eileen McColgan

Eileen Bridget McColgan passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Denver, Colorado.

Eileen was born in Newark, New Jersey, and grew up in Kearny, New Jersey. She dedicated her life to education, beginning her career as a teacher of the handicapped and later earning two Master's Degrees. She concluded her professional journey as a counselor at a middle school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she made a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.

Eileen had a vibrant passion for bridge and enjoyed playing with many partners over the years. A lover of reading, she found immense joy in books and shared this enthusiasm with those around her. She also cherished traveling the world with her beloved husband, Bob McColgan, creating memories that spanned continents.

Above all else, Eileen was a devoted grandmother to Ian and Katie McColgan, whom she loved unconditionally. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone she met, making each person feel special and valued.

Eileen is survived by her husband Bob; her sons Rob McColgan and Bryan McColgan; her daughter-in-law Sue McColgan; and her grandchildren Ian and Katie McColgan. Her brother, Tom Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held in January to honor Eileen's remarkable legacy.
