Ken and family, I have just learned of this news yesterday, and am so sorry to hear of Eileen's passing. I am saddened to have missed the service and celebration of Eileen's life. She was always there to greet me with her positive outlook and smile, in spite of her own pain, and I certainly felt her support in my own grieving. What a beautiful family you have raised together. May God hold you close, and give you comfort and strength. Marlene Hanson and family

Dear Eileen's Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear about Eileen. Our families were friends when I was young and although I was the younger sister I have many fond memories of being together at Pigeon Lake, the twins' confirmation and getting to sleep over when the "big" girls were having a party. The twins were nice to me too! May God comfort all of you at this very sad time but I pray that knowing Eileen is rejoicing in heaven may ease some of your pain. Please take care.

Eileen and I shared office space at Jasper Place for a few years so our paths crossed frequently. As a young mom, I appreciated her advice and thoughts on child rearing. I also remember Eileen sharing "her story" and was impacted by her courage and faith. She certainly made a mark on me and for that I am thankful. It is with confidence that I say she is in a better place where she suffers no more! Still, I am truly sorry for your loss and wish God's peace and comfort to the whole Spillett family at this time.

Ken, Mr. and Mrs Spillet, and familly, we were so saddened to learn of Eileen's passing. I too was one of the 117th avenue gang in Woodcroft, and was lucky enough to meet Eileen when we lived behind you and Eileen for a brief time in Callingwood. Although I encountered her only a few times, I vividly remember Eileen's kinetic energy and beaming smile. She passed along some very helpful parenting tips and it was obvious that she was totally devoted to your girls. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and may God's love bring you comfort during these times.

Please note a correction to my previous submission to this guestbook. I meant to say "all the good times on 117th Ave."
I would appreciate it very much if you could correct this for me. Many thanks. Pat Rae

Dear Ken and family, I never had the opportunity to meet Eileen but wish to express warmest condolences. Ken, over the years I have always wondered how you were doing and looked forward to ready your Mom's Christmas letter. Our childhood years together on 117 Avenue remain vivid. The entire Spillett family have a special place in the Rae family's heart, and always will.
Your old buddy,
John
