Although I haven't seen Miss Chenard in many years, she is unforgettable to me. She was my basketball coach, teacher & friend, truly a wonderful person to know. When I was 16 yrs old, she & Mrs. Martin, another teacher at Leavitt, took me down to the Sidewalk Art Festival in Portland. I will never forget that day that 2 teachers thought I was good enough. My condolences to her family, she is forever in my heart.
