AGE: 57 • Hazlet
Elaine A. Crotty, 57, of Hazlet, NJ, died on September 13, 2016 at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel. She was born in New York City, NY and lived in Long Island, and Queens before moving to Hazlet 20 years ago. Elaine worked as an accountant and a homemaker. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and helped to raise her grandson David III.
Surviving are her son, David Santos, Jr. of Hazlet; two brothers, Joe Crotty of West Hempstead, NY, Thomas Crotty of Queens Village, NY; two sisters, Debbie Crotty of Long Island, NY, Donna Crotty of Long Island, NY; and grandson, David Santos, III of Hazlet.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elaine Crotty.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 15, 2016, from 9 am to 1 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:30 pm at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. For more information, to send condolences or for directions, please visit www.pflegerfh.com.

Elaine was very brave and had a smile that brightened any room. It was my honor to navigate her through her courageous battle with breast cancer.

Elaine was one of the most beautiful and strongest people I have ever met. She loved her son and grandson and would do anything for them. She also held a special place in her heart for my mom, Pat. The two of them always had a smile on their faces. True friendship!! She lived her live to the fullest and that's what i will always remember about her. She told me within the last week that family is everything and I truly believe it. It was an honor to know you and you will forever be in our hearts. We love you!!!!! Love the Longo and Benkovich Families.
