Elaine was our neighbor for more than 25 years. She lived across the street from us and was one of the first residents in our subdivision. She arrived a few months after we moved in. She was a most wonderful person, always friendly and congenial. I will miss her.

Elaine and her precious mom Carrie first were our neighbors in Lake Bluff and we quickly became 50 plus year friends. We remained in touch even after Elaine moved to AZ to be with her Aunt Musta Mille ( pictured here with my grandmother and nephew) My grandmother and Musta Mille were dear friends too.
I loved letting Elaine“s beloved dog, Mitzi when Elaine worked late at Calico Corners on Monday night. I loved visiting Elaine in AZ and seeing her when she visited IL. I loved the conversation we had a few weeks before her passing. She sounded great and this came as a surprise. I lost another sister. There will never be another Elaine. She was the best and is already sorely missed!
My heart hurts along with her family and friends.

She was always Cousin Elaine to me, actually my mom's cousin, but that's what we always called her. My mother loved her so much and so did I. I loved her sense of humor and her kindness. I am so sorry for your loss, but I know you all must be blessed with wonderful memories. I can honestly say she was one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing

Aunt Elaine remained timeless throughout my life! Her sense of humor & wit has been the best part of the family holiday gatherings. Every second I got to spend with her was an honor! The relationship she shared with my son is so special & I know he treasures memories with her just as much as I do!! I love you SOOOOOOOOO much, Elaine!!

My "Aunt" Elaine was someone I will always remember from childhood up until present day. She always brought good laughs and her smile was so genuine and she almost never stopped smiling at family events! I have a bag that she crafted as well as an apron. Come to think of it I also have 3 of the Danish stars she made! I will always keep and cherish those. Elaine, you are missed. Growing up I always wanted to be fun and lighthearted as you. So full of laughs! I love you Aunt Elaine. Your niece, Mandy.

I have been a neighbor to Elaine for over 5 years getting to know her and visiting with her. She has a dear pet, Raliegh that will dearly miss her as well. Last year, Elaine became unable to do her usual morning walk with him so I offered to assist. This was important to her. I was more than glad to assist and that is how an even better friendship developed. Elaine is a people person and showed an active interest in so many things. Music was always important. Her mother was a dancer and music held court in her heart and activities. I have a great appreciation for her talent and artistic ability and appreciation. There is much to tell about her community involvement and interests. Elaine is inspirational with her enthusiasm even when she didn't feel like it! As a friend and neighbor I am grateful for her kindness, humor, talent, and caring spirit! I already miss her and she leaves a void in this world with her absence. My dear friend and wonderful neighbor, Elaine!
